MYC documentary

It all began 1943 during the height of World War II. Police Chief Malcolm Laughead proposed a 'Media Boys Club,' a safe haven for local boys to have fun and learn the principles of teamwork and good citizenship.

Follow the rich history of the Media Youth Center, as told by its many volunteers, coaches, players and participants who made it what it is today. Oral histories, rare archival photos and the backdrop of "America's Hometown," bring this keepsake DVD to Life. Anyone who has ever been involved with youth organizations will appreciate the inspiring story of the Media Youth Center - a triumph of community spirit.

  SolarPanel Dedication

The Media Youth Center has powered up a 1.2kw solar energy system that will enable the center to run on solar power.  As of September 10th,  2010 a portion of the MYC’s energy will come from solar energy thanks to the Media Energy Advisory Committees donation. The EAC received the 1.2 kw system from SMART Power Opening for getting 20% of its residents to use renewable energy.

Dedication of Solar Panels at the MYC. Thanks to the partnership with Solardelphia.
